June 14, 2016

TAC announced that it will now provide comparative analytical support for IT Operations and for Database Administration in all of its Benchmarking Services offerings (Comprehensive Benchmarks, Benchmark Lite, and Benchmark Ultra-Lite). This new capability is designed to enable companies and their management teams to quickly get comparative information and insights related to their IT Operations and Database Administration costs and performance. Through our new capabilities, using our unique benchmarking approach and methodology based on a client’s “workload and complexity IT DNA,” we create easy to understand comparative assessment reports for both IT Operations and Database Administration. These reports enable the client to get performance metrics from our database, which contains information from hundreds of accounts across twenty-plus industries. The benchmark report provides metrics regarding such focus areas as hardware, software, sourcing and staffing associated with these functional areas within an IT organization.

It is our intent to continue to grow our business and increase our on-demand personalized client support solutions such as this new service offering. According to Lee Arthur, Managing Director, New York Institute of Finance & Execsense, NYIF’s subscription-based learning approach will ensure organizations are kept abreast of the most up-to-date information and guidance.

In many cases, the overall return on this investment has been poor, resulting from cost overruns, quality problems and terminated contracts. Based on many years of direct engagement with outsourcing governance, and understanding of the critical success factors of outsourcing programs, the Rapid Review Assessment for Outsourcing Governance is independent, vendor-neutral, and specifically tailored to an organization’s situation and needs.

November 10, 2011

TAC announces the addition of a new consulting service, IT Strategy and Planning, to its Expertise-as-a-Service® (EaaS™) offerings. TAC Announces EaaS™ Services for K–12 Education

August 15, 2011

TAC announces the addition of “Expertise-as-a-Service®” (EaaS™) advisory and consulting services covering the full range of K–12 management issues, as well as information technology issues, that face K–12 CIOs and their colleagues. “Our new K–12 advisory and consulting services provide K–12 CIOs the kind of information and advice that our private-sector clients have come to depend on,” says TAC President & CEO Peter Schay.

As IT budgets slowly recover in the private sector, public sector budgets continue to decline. Federal stimulus dollars disappear by FY 2012–13, and a stuck-in-neutral economic recovery translates to declining tax revenues at the state and local level. Do navigate here to find how to keep your taxes on track in your company’s financial records. Public sector demands on IT, however, continue to grow as departments accelerate automation in response to budget shortfalls. Nowhere is this more evident than in K–12 education, where aging hardware infrastructure is running headlong into 21st-century demands created by increased educational options. TAC’s advisory and consulting services for K–12 education help K–12 CIOs and their colleagues successfully address these issues.

TAC announces immediate availability of EaaS™ “Rapid Review Assessment” for Data Privacy Compliance

July 25, 2011

TAC announces the addition of a new Rapid Review Assessment service for Data Privacy Compliance to its Expertise-as-a-Service® (EaaS™) offerings. Regulations define very specifically what one must do to reduce the chance that privacy of personal data will be compromised. Recently passed laws expect organizations with either a business presence in their states, or those that have customers, employees, contractors or business partners who reside in their respective states, to adhere to these regulations. That means that one may not need to have presence in a state to be subject to its laws. TAC’s Data Privacy Compliance Rapid Review Assessment helps clients assess the status of their current policies, processes and IT standards in supporting these regulations, and helps them do what is necessary to meet compliance expectations.

Based on many years of direct engagement with data privacy compliance projects, and understanding of the critical success factors of data privacy compliance programs, the Rapid Review Assessment for Data Privacy Compliance is independent, vendor-neutral, and specifically tailored to an organization’s situation and needs.

TAC announces the addition of a new Rapid Review Assessment service for Networks to its Expertise-as-a-Service® (EaaS™) offerings. This fixed-price service is designed to quickly and affordably provide clients with an informative assessment of this critical area. “Our Rapid Review Assessment service for networks provides executives with the information and tools to reduce the cost and improve the responsiveness of their networks,” says TAC President & CEO Peter Schay.

While many organizations have a sizable investment in this area, few have reached the full potential of their investments. Many enterprises are still underutilizing their network, not taking advantage of available cost-saving technology, or not managing their service contracts to take advantage of their network service provider’s capabilities.

Based on many years of direct engagement with networking projects, and understanding of the critical success factors of network implementations, the Rapid Review Assessment for Networks is independent, vendor-neutral, and specifically tailored to an organization’s situation and needs.

TAC Expert Shyam Desigan leads Volunteers of America Chesapeake to CIO 100 award

TAC is proud to congratulate Shyam Desigan, TAC Expert and Volunteers of America Chesapeake CFO, on being presented the CIO 100 award. The CIO 100 is awarded by International Data Group’s CIO magazine.

Volunteers of America Chesapeake and CFO Shyam Desigan, who has more than 13 years of strong leadership experience in finance and accounting, information technology, and business development, were recognized for maximizing revenue for the non-profit, while streamlining operations. Desigan transitioned the non-profit’s 650-employee organization to a cloud-computing solution — an on-demand system which hosts a set of messaging and collaboration solutions. It also proved to be an affordable and moldable answer to the organization’s needs, enabling the staff to share digital information more freely, while eliminating the need for expensive outside help.

As a TAC Expert, Mr. Desigan’s expertise is available to all TAC clients through TAC’s unique Expertise-as-a-Service® (EaaS™) offerings.
